Meeting/Event Information

    Motivational Monday

Get inspired with SMPS SFBAC's Motivational Mondays! One Monday per month, during lunch, we will have a 45 minute discussion surrounding our thoughts on a chosen TED Talk, book excerpt, article, or other encouraging content. All attending members will receive the topic and materials prior to the event to enjoy on their own time. It’s fun, it’s easy, and it’s a great way to kick start your week with creativity and motivation. We hope to see you there.

This Monday's topic is How to Practice Gratitude. Please make sure to read the article before attending!

This session will be hosted by our sponsor, McMillen Jacobs Associates, a multidisciplinary firm providing a comprehensive array of technical services to the heavy civil, underground, and water resources markets. They are experts in tunneling and provide innovative solutions for difficult underground projects. Founded in 1954, they work closely with clients at every stage of a project, assisting them with planning, permitting, design, project management, construction, and start-up. Clients in the San Francisco Bay Area include the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, East Bay Municipal Utility District, Bay Area Rapid Transit, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, and California Department of Transportation. Learn more about them here: www.mcmjac.com

Leading the discussion will be Allison Halvorson, CPSM, who has over 20 years of broad-based marketing and communications experience, with an extensive understanding of communications strategies that build brand awareness and grow revenue. She is currently the Communications Manager for McMillen Jacobs Associates Underground Division and President of the SMPS San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
